Ebay needs no introduction, as the number 1 online auction site, it is a site thousands will search daily for great deals on computers
Ebay should only be used if your budget 100% demands it. You can get some good deals, but the majority are terrible and its generally not worth the risk. What looks bad (without a picture, poor description) can sometimes be good, and what looks good, can be terrible, and everything inbetween. We honestly, and strongly recommend buying from an established retailer. However, if you have total faith in ebay, read on for a few bits of advice
The first bit of advice I would give about ebay, is find out as much as you can. The price might seem irresistable at the moment, but there will always be more auctions, bid with your head, not with your heart.
Secondly, always read feedback, the feedback always says a lot about a trader, if they are a regular seller of computers, you may be able to see feedback on a similar item to the one your thinking about purchasing.
Without meaning to be patronising, just use your common sense, and if it looks too good to be true. It most likely is!
- Cheap
- Variety
- High risk
- No customer support
- No quality control
